A Role Of A Lifetime!

Congratulations to Grayson Gurnsey who has been busy filming a role in the MOW “Family Pictures“, one of 3 original movies based on novels by international best-selling author Jane Green, which have been “green lighted” by Lifetime.

Tempting Fate, To Have and To Hold and Family Pictures will be executive produced by Grey’s Anatomy‘s Kim Raver.

Jane Green’s novels are addictive, fun, juicy and wise – just like a great Lifetime Movie – so to bring the two genres together is incredibly thrilling,” said Tanya Lopez, EVP Movies, Limited Series & Original Movie Acquisitions, Lifetime and LMN.

Raver, who spent the last few months putting the movie trilogy together, will executive produce all three films with her longtime manager Dave Fleming (Billy Boy), Shane Salerno and her husband, indie helmer, Manu Boyer.

“Having been a massive fan of Jane’s books, it’s a dream come true for me and my producing partners to be able to bring these powerful female-centric stories to fruition at Lifetime!” said Raver. “I’m incredibly grateful to Tanya for championing this trilogy for us.

The movie is about Sylvie and Maggie, two strangers living on opposite coasts, leading very similar lives with husbands that travel for work too much and daughters about to leave the nest. When their daughters happen to befriend each other on a college tour, Maggie and Sylvie discover they are married to the same man, a bi-coastal bigamist, they join forces to put their broken lives back together.

Could They Be Zombies?

Both Monique Phillips and Everrett Shea have booked roles on episode #508 of iZombie.

Season 5 is a go! CW has given a fifth season to fan-favorite zombie-comedy series iZombie which will be it’s last.

The show about an undead morgue attendant who assumes the personality of whichever brain she is eating and uses it to solve murders is one of the most consistently delightful shows on television.

As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible.

Executive producer Rob Thomas also created cult favorite Veronica Mars. David Anders, Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli and Aly Michalka also star. The show hails from Warner Bros.Television.

The show, which is based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Entertainment’s Vertigo, is rumored to return during the midseason schedule.

Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction

Gigi Jackman has just finished and Kurt Ostlund will be busy filling a role this month on the Lifetime movie Blue Esme.

Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden has signed on to star in Blue Esme aka Love You to Death.

Alex Kalymnios is directing the project from a screenplay by Anthony Jaswinski. Kalymnios previously helmed the cable network’s tele-picture Cleveland Abduction in 2015.

Inspired by the HBO documentary Mommy, Dead And Dearest, Blue Esme tells the harrowing true story of young Esme Stoller, a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy whose mother, in a perverse and twisted effort to gain love and attention, manipulated her daughter into believing she was sick and in constant need of medical intervention.

“It’s a shocking tale of a mother and daughter who are nothing like they seem, their tumultuous relationship ending in a brutal murder,” a press release said. “Camile and Esme are well-known in their community — Esme as the sickly, child-like wheelchair-bound daughter, and Camile as the perfect caretaker and mother. They seem a perfect pair until Camile is found stabbed to death in her home, and Esme has vanished, believed to be kidnapped by the killer. But when Esme is found, a terrible secret emerges.”
