“Roger”, an awkward teenager, who discovers the meaning of life and death…

Dressed in a baggy black sweater, troubled teenager Jessie Wilson arrives at the home of Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Veronica Guest, the long forgotten literary darling of 1948, and close confidant to the very late Truman Capote. In desperate need of extra high school credits, Jessie agrees to tutor young Tommy Faber in science and math, but when the timid boy insists he hasn’t left Veronica’s mansion in more than sixty years, Jessie knows she’s bitten off more than she can chew. Tommy is convinced he’s fiction, a make believe boy conjured from the pages of a short story that first appeared in a 1952 edition of Woman’s Home Journal. Jessie is determined to make Tommy a real boy. The lesson is life. You can hide from the world, but not for long. Sometimes friendship is the only magic we really need.

Eric McCormack is set to star in the indie drama and Dave Schultz, a Canadian-born writer/director/producer, will be directing. His directing credits include the cult classic
