HO, HO, HO!!

Fatman will hit select theaters on Nov. 13 and on VOD Nov. 17.

“A superhero film wrapped in a thriller dipped in western and sprinkled with satire” — that’s how writer-directors the Nelms Bros describe their new holiday fantasy action film Fatman.

Christmas spirit looks a little different with Mel Gibson, who we see portraying a rowdy, gun-toting Santa Claus!

The action-comedy directed by Ian and Eshom Nelms centers on a neglected 12-year-old boy (Chance Hurstfield) who hires a highly skilled assassin (Walton Goggins) to take out Chris Cringle (Gibson) after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. Cringle proves himself a worthy adversary as he is not so jolly or festively plump, and more so skilled in weaponry after being forced into a partnership with the U.S. military to save his declining business.

Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Shaun Benson co-star in the dark Christmas tale.

Fatman is produced by Fortitude International’s Nadine de Barros and Mammoth Entertainment’s Todd Courtney, along with RBL Studios’ Michelle Lang, Zed Filmworks’ Robert Menzies and Skywolf Media’s Lisa Wolofsky.

Operation Christmas Drop is a 2020 American Christmas rom-com movie coordinated by Martin Wood from a screenplay by Gregg Rossen and Brian Sawyer. The film stars Kat Graham and Alexander Ludwig and is approximately founded on the genuine U.S. Flying corps Operation Christmas Drop compassionate mission wherein a military base in Guam drops supplies and gifts on the most remote islands of Micronesia during the holiday season.

Back in 1952 around Christmastime, an American aircrew saw people waving at them from the island of Kapingamarangi, which is a few thousand miles southwest of Hawaii. To spread some holiday cheer, the aircrew dropped a bundle of supplies attached to a parachute to the islanders. From then on, Operation Christmas Drop became an annual tradition that involves sending supplies–like medicine, food, equipment, school necessities, clothing, and toys–to people on more than 50 islands throughout the Pacific Ocean that are not easily reached by boat.

The movie was filmed at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, the actual base camp for the operation.

The icy and professionally stifled legislative aide, Erica (Kat Graham), is sent by her Grinchy congresswoman boss (Virginia Madsen) to evaluate the efficiency of a U.S. Air Force base in Guam.

There, she goes toe to toe with Andrew (Alexander Ludwig), a genial Air Force captain, who knows her assignment is finding reasons to defund the facility and who then spearheads the operation of the title, where gifts are parachuted to people on neighboring islands.

He must convince the Scrooge-like local mayor (Aaron Douglas) to help contribute to the mission of American altruism. And Erica’s assignment might be aborted in favor of holiday miracles.

Watch For Falling….

Rhiannon Latimer has booked a role on Episode #102 of NBC’s upcoming alien drama series, ‘Debris’.

The network has handed out a series order for Debris, the alien drama starring Jonathan Tucker and Riann Steele.

Debris marks NBC’s first series to be picked up from its 2020 pilot crop. The show, from Fringe’s J.H. Wyman, was also the network’s first drama to be ordered to pilot and has quietly been a network favorite since.

The series about two agents from two different continents who investigate an alien spacecraft wreckage and its mysterious effects on humankind was able to complete roughly 80 percent of production before the novel coronavirus pandemic upended pilot season (and the world).

Debris, like fellow sci-fi drama La Brea, remained in contention at NBC when the network narrowed its pilot roster last week. Debris is NBC’s second drama order for the 2020-21 season and joins the Chris Meloni-led Law & Order: SVU spinoff.

Debris is a co-production between Legendary TV and Universal TV. Wyman serves as showrunner and exec produces alongside Jason Hoffs.

“Written by Wyman, Debris is said to be in the vein of The X-Files and Men In Black. In it, two agents, played by Steele and Tucker, from two different continents, and two different mindsets, must work together to investigate when wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft has mysterious effects on humankind.”

The series is set to premiere on NBC in March 2021.
