He Shoots! He Scores!

GraysonGurnseyThe amazing Grayson Maxwell Gurnsey has landed the lead role as series regular “Toby” in the new live action comedy for Corus and YTV‘s The Game.

When you’re a young teenager, sometimes it can feel like your every embarrassing, mortifying, cringe-worthy moment is being watched by everyone. And in Toby Martin’s case – it is. Toby’s your average 13-year-old 7th grader. He’s dealing with growing pains, zits, a changing voice, an annoying younger sister, some mild social awkwardness and a burgeoning, intense interest in girls. Added to this, Toby’s  life – unbeknownst to him – has become The Game. His attempts to get through the day without too many disasters are followed by two sportscasters, Bob and Dave, who give play-by-play, analysis and colour commentary of Toby’s every move for viewers at home. They cheer for him when he wins and feel defeated when he loses, but are always in admiration of how Toby tries to triumph in each mortifying challenge that life throws his way.

Crime pays!

DarcyFehr_3 Darcy Fehr is now filming Episode 6 of the crime/western TV Series in Winnipeg, The Pinkertons.

Actors Martha MacIsaac (“Superbad”, “The Last House on the Left”) and Jacob Blair (“Dark Rising”, “Warrior of Worlds”, “Om Sweet Om”) will join Angus Macfadyen (“Turn”, “Braveheart”) as leads in Rosetta Media and Buffalo Gal Picture‘s original 22-episode drama. The series premiered Oct. 4 in first run syndication in the U.S., where it has been cleared in over 93 percent of the country by Rohrs Media Group on station groups including Tribune, Weigel, Hearst, LIN, Meredith, Cox and the CW Plus.

Drawing on the real cases of Pinkerton Detective Agency, The Pinkertons follows founder Allan Pinkerton (Macfadyen), his son William, and America’s first female detective, Kate Warne, as they solve crimes throughout the “Wild West” of the 1860s (Pinkerton is known for revolutionizing detective work by developing use of surveillance, undercover work and the mug shot).

Our Very Own Goddess!

Gigi2 Gigi Jackman just completed playing an amazing role of a Greek goddess in the TV series “Olympus“.

The series will follow the protagonist on his journey as he gradually transforms from a fresh-faced and raw young man through the dramatic experiences of betrayal, love, disappointment, empowerment and exile, until he emerges a ruthless leader of men, and a match for the Gods themselves.

Great Point Media and Thunderbird’s Reunion Pictures brings together the team behind Olympus including writer Nick Willing (Tinman, Neverland), Executive Producer Mathew O’Connor (Continuum,Alice) and the late and legendary executive producer Robert Halmi Sr. (Mr. and Mrs. Bridge, The Odyssey, Gulliver’s Travels).
