Makalo Roskams has wrapped on Episode #108 of Helstrom aka ‘Omens‘
“Helstrom” is coming to Hulu!
This live-action show is based on the Marvel comics characters. The show is expected to launch on Hulu in 2020 and is a co-production of Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, and Zbyszewski will executive produce the series.
In Marvel’s Helstrom, Daimon and Ana Helstrom are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity — each with their attitude and skills.
Zbyszewski will also serve as showrunner.
“As a lifelong Marvel fan, I feel incredibly fortunate to help bring this darker, thrilling corner of the comic book universe to life, and I’m just grateful to everyone at Marvel Television and Hulu for the opportunity,” said Zbyszewski.
We can expect to see all ten episodes of the first season of Helstrom on Hulu later this year.
The ensemble cast are as follows…
Tom Austen (Grantchester, The Borgias) as Daimon Helstrom — A professor of ethics who moonlights as an exorcist, Daimon has no illusions about saving a world he has no patience for; he just hopes he can help a few of the people closest to him. In his battle against a hidden world, Daimon is determined to root out demons as they arise, and will not stop until they’re vanquished.
Sydney Lemmon (Succession, Fear The Walking Dead) as Ana Helstrom — By day, Ana runs a successful auction house and suffers no fools, but her true interest lies in hunting down those who hurt others. Traumatized by her father as a child, Ana is driven to rid the world of those like him, even as she secretly worries her father will return.
Elizabeth Marvel (Homeland, The Meyerowitz Stories) as Victoria Helstrom — Plagued by demons both real and imagined, Victoria has been institutionalized for twenty years. While she struggles to be herself, she hopes to repair her relationship with her children.
Robert Wisdom (Ballers, Watchmen) as Caretaker — Caretaker is a guardian of knowledge of the occult. He uses his knowledge and his relationship with Ana to help keep demonic forces at bay.
June Carryl (Mindhunter, Dead Women Walking) as Dr. Louise Hastings — A psychologist with a strong faith but an open mind, Hastings is head of the psychiatric hospital where Victoria is being monitored. She has watched over the Helstrom family for years, caring for them as best she can
Ariana Guerra (Raising Dion, Insatiable) as Gabriella Rosetti — A woman balancing logic and faith, Gabriella arrives from the Vatican to help Daimon and Hastings uncover cases of demonic possession. She wants to save everyone she can, including Daimon.
Alain Uy (The Passage, Paper Tigers) as Chris Yen — Yen is Ana’s business partner and her closest friend — some would say surrogate brother. He carries out the bulk of the auction house’s responsibilities and assists Ana with whatever she needs.
Bracken Hanke will be reprising the role of ‘Susie‘ in Season 2 of Gabby Duran and the Unsittables.
Disney Channel has already given a second season order to “Gabby Duran & the Unsittables”, its new single-camera comedy that premiered Oct. 11.
Gabby Duran & The Unsittables gives us a bold new heroine, brought to life by the incredibly talented Kylie Cantrall and our top-notch creative team led by showrunners Mike Alber and Gabe Snyder (“Kirby Buckets“) with Joe Nussbaum (“Just Add Water”).
Young singer and actress Kylie Cantrall plays a 13-year-old who moves to a new town and winds up with an unusual babysitting job!
After living in the shadows of her successful mother and smart younger sister even when they move to Havensburg, Colorado, Gabby Duran finds her moment to shine when she gets a job from Principal Swift to babysit an unruly group of extraterrestrial children who have been hiding out on Earth disguised as humans. Gabby resourcefully and fearlessly steps up to the challenge to protect the children and their secret identities.
The series is based on the novel “Gabby Duran & the Unsittables”, written by Elise Allen and Daryle Conners. In adapting the book, Snyder said the character became a lot less responsible, but has an edge that still makes her the ideal candidate to look after a group of misfit alien kids.

COLOR OUT OF SPACE (which also stars NICOLAS CAGE) HITS THEATRES TODAY, Friday Jan. 24th and sees the long-awaited return of director Richard Stanley!
Directed with great style and innovative use of light, shadows and, yes, color, “Color Out of Space” is based on an iconic short story from 1927 by H.P. Lovecraft. It’s just the latest adaptation of what is said to be Lovecraft’s personal favorite of all his short stories.
An absolute psychedelic trip of a film from the same folks who gave us the groundbreaking Mandy. Color Out of Space is visually stunning and graced with strong performances from not just Cage (who delivers a classic Cage character), but from co-stars Joely Richardson, Tommy Chong, Brendan Myer, Elliot Knight, and Julian Hilliard as well.
Of special note is Canadian Madeleine Arthur, who is a standout as Lavinia Gardner, Nathan’s daughter – a free-spirit who is immersed in witchcraft as well as heavy metal and is the more responsible sibling compared to her older and younger brother, regardless of if her parents (Joely Richardson and Nicolas Cage) want to admit it. Though the character of Lavinia wasn’t featured in the original Lovecraft novella, director Richard Stanley took it upon himself to include a female protagonist whose arc ultimately represents strength and sacrifice. This allowed for a modern representation of a female character to be presented in the film, something that Lovecraft famously shielded away from.
Synopsis:
After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm, Nathan Gardner (Nicolas Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a technicolour nightmare.

Maya Mateo has booked a role on Warner Bros. upcoming film, ‘Cats and Dogs 3‘.
Producer: Andrew Lazar, Charles Cooper
Writer: Scott Bindley
Director: Sean McNamara
Cats & Dogs 3: Mr. Tinkles Returns is an upcoming 2019 CGI/live-action film that will be the sequel to the 2001 film, Cats & Dogs, and the 2010 film, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.
The premise promises that the movie will put a fresh spin on the old concept, too. You see, instead of focusing on the battle between cats and dogs, C&D3 will see Roger “a small courageous border collie and Ariana a grey striped female cat” having to work together. Expect the unlikely duo to “gather a team” to fight “an evil mastermind” intent on “pitting cats and dogs against each other.”

Lyle Reginald has booked a role on Hulu’s upcoming series, Woke.
Prelim date is January 14, 2020.
Hulu has given a series order to Woke, its live-action comedy pilot with animated sequences starring New Girl alum Lamorne Morris, sources said. The project hails from Sony Pictures TV, Will Gluck’s studio-based Olive Bridge Entertainment and Eric Christian Olsen’s Cloud Nine Prods.
Woke is Inspired by the life and art of cartoonist Keith Knight. Written by Knight and Marshall Todd (Barbershop), Woke centers on Keef (Morris), a cartoonist living in San Francisco on the cusp of mainstream success when an unexpected incident involving cops changes everything, putting him in a state of “woke”as he struggles to navigate his day-to-day existence — without blowing up everything he’s built — while animated objects invade his reality.Todd and Knight executive produce with Olive Bridge Entertainment’s Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz, Cloud Nine’s Olsen and Kate Schumaecker as well as John Will. Aeysha Carr will serve as showrunner.
Knight is an award-winning comic strip creator whose work includes autobiographical strips The K Chronicles and The Knight Life as well as the sociopolitical strip (th)ink.
